How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God.
Today, these words from the second reading, swirled around my heart. It was like a cool sneaker wave that creeps in around my ankles while walking barefoot on the beach. It's Christ who makes up for my weaknesses. He purifies my conscience from my dead works and the guilt that ensues. Without him, the things I do mean nothing. My works, or lack of works, are dead. But with Christ, I am free to worship the LIVING God and the living God will breathe life back into all that I do.
