Since it is almost the 4th of July, I am getting a little emotional about our nation...I remember as a kid we would always say to each other, "so, it's a free country." I wonder if kids still say that? To be honest, I don't really think we are so free any more. But this is not a political blog, it is just my thoughts. That being said, I came accross this quote by Ronald Reagan that seemed appropriate for this time of year:
"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free."
